Emerging markets have spent the past decade underperforming US and global equities. This year has not proven any kinder, with the region hurt by the war in Ukraine, a strengthening dollar and a slowing global economy. On top of that, the prospect of de-globalisation, some argue, does not bode well for the world’s emerging economies.
So, why should investors still consider emerging markets today? Is there still a case for emerging markets today? Is the poor performance of emerging market stocks due to the nature of emerging market indices? What is the best way to access emerging markets?
To discuss these questions and more we were joined by Kevin T. Carter, Founder & Chief Investment Officer of EMQQ Global.
